Out of 163 recipients across 50 states, Chautauqua Opportunities Inc. was the counties only organization to receive USDA funding in the amount of $85,000 to repair and improve housing for low- and very-low-income rural residents. Housing Preservation Grants are provided to intermediaries such as town or county governments, public agencies, federally recognized Indian Tribes, and non-profit and faith-based organizations.
