A McAlester man pleaded guilty for possession of more than 60 grams of methamphetamine, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced July 27. Louie Anthony Dalton, 36, was arrested March 25 at the Choctaw Gaming Center south of McAlester. Dalton was indicted in April for possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine. Authorities also sought criminal forfeiture of $1,254.80 that Dalton told authorities he earned from selling drugs. He faced up to life in prison and a fine of up to $4 million. But a plea agreement recommends a sentence of 46 to 57 months with five years of supervised released and a $100 special assessment. The case was investigated by the Choctaw Nation Tribal Police.
