Chief Spence in Hospital for Observation, Nishnawbe Aski Nation Honors Her: Webcast

Attawapiskat First Nation Chief Theresa Spence is in the hospital on intravenous fluids and had to skip a news conference and ceremony honoring her six-week-long, liquids-only fast. She is being honored at a ceremony hosted by the Nishnawbe Aski Nation in Ottawa.

At a press conference announcing the official signing of the 13-point Declaration of Commitment to bringing First Nations relationship back up to par with its original nation-to-nation status, major political-party leaders along with chiefs and Spence's supporters and fellow hunger strikers are talking about the way forward. The conference is being hosted and webcast by the Nishnawbe Aski Nation. See it webcast, as it happens, here.
