Chico’s opened its first outlet store in San Diego County, a 2,800-square-foot property at the Viejas Outlet Center, March 2. It is adjacent to the park area of the outlet center, near Jones New York, Rue 21, Nautica and Levi’s.
The Fort Myers, Fla.-based Chico’s operates more than 600 boutique and 40 outlet stores in the United States, offering a line of casual, professional and dressy women’s clothing, accessories and gifts, targeting women about 30 and over.
“Chico’s is a wonderful addition for our customers,” said Viejas Outlet Center Marketing Manager Nancy Kennedy. “Chico’s will complement our other apparel and accessory offerings, such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Guess, Gap, Nine West, Eddie Bauer, Coach and Wilson’s Leather.”
The opening of the Chico’s store builds upon recent retail and entertainment momentum at the Viejas Outlet Center, including the opening of Viejas Bowl, a new boutique center; the Fun Zone arcade; the newest official California Welcome Center, and the expansion at Rue 21 to almost 5,000 square feet.
