The Cherokees of Alabama’s plan to move travel trailers to the River Trace Golf Course property likely will run afoul of city of Gadsden zoning regulations. The group Tuesday evening purchased the golf course, and Joe Huddleston, a Realtor with Vintage Properties, which handled the sale, said Wednesday someone from the group that plans to seek federal recognition as an American Indian tribe needed to be occupying the property within two days of purchase.
