Check Out the Native Rhythms Festival (and Flute School) This Week

The Native Rhythms Festival Grammy Artists and Flute School!

The Indian River Flute Circle and Native Heritage Gathering, Inc. are presenting their seventh annual gathering of the Native Rhythms Festival starting this Thursday, November 12th through the 15th. The four-day festival, which runs during Native American Heritage Month and takes place in Melbourne Florida, honors the culture of the indigenous peoples of the Americas through music, with emphasis on the Native American Flute.

In addition to the festival, flute performers Clint Goss and Vera Shanov will conduct the 2015 Native Rhythms Flute School on Wednesday (Nov 11) and Thursday (Nov 12) at the Candlewood Suites. Click here for the flute school's website to submit an online registration.

According to the Native Rhythms Festival website, the festival weekend will feature a continuous flow of top-flight entertainment coming from the amphitheater stage.

The festival’s program of headline performers include GRAMMY, NAMMY (Native American Music Award), and ISMA (Indian Summer Music Award) winners and nominees such as Arvel Bird, Mark Holland & Pati Pellerito, Randy Granger, Steven Rushingwind & Nelson Rios, Dock Green Silverhawk, Jonny Lipford, Painted Raven, Ed WindDancer and more.

The 2015 Master of Ceremonies is Multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Randy Granger.
