Casino deal ends in court

Plans for a casino on the south shore of Lake Sakakawea ended in court last month, with the Three Affiliated Tribes ordered to pay the would-be developer $6.1 million. The developer, Dale Little Soldier, of rural Golden Valley, will keep about half for costs and bills and the other half will go toward a $3.2 million Wells Fargo bank loan for the project. South Central District Judge Tom Schneider confirmed the outcome reached by a panel of three arbitrators, one dissenting.
