Fantasy Springs Casino near Indio, an economic development of the band, will unveil a fresh, new look this month when the 265,000-square-foot entertainment complex opens to the public. Visual highlight of the casino, centerpiece of the growing Fantasy Springs Resort, is a soaring 23-foot ceiling with mirrors and custom-made European glass chandeliers, 10 feet in diameter, directly above blackjack tables. There also is a 3,500-square-foot card room, service bar and 2,000-square-foot, trellis-covered patio complete with a misting system. The Triple Crown Room offers off-track satellite wagering and there is a Bingo Palace. The newest dining-lounge area includes the 24-hour Fantasy Bar & Grill which specializes in top-quality steaks. The lounge features a full stage for live entertainment. An Asian-theme restaurant occupies the second level. The casino is 20 miles east of Palm Springs, Calif., north of Interstate 10 at the Golf Center Parkway exit.
