Brown County can dispatch Oneida police, judge rules

Brown County will be able to dispatch Oneida police officers in a 1,700-acre portion of Hobart as part of their 15-year service agreement thanks to a favorable ruling from a circuit court judge this week. Judge Marc Hammer's ruling invalidated the village of Hobart's objections to the 2008 service agreement between the tribe and county — that the agreement undermines the village's local powers.
