The Blue Lake Rancheria has announced that its new 102-room hotel is on schedule to open by the middle of June. The project, while slightly pared down because of a struggling economy, was constructed using state-of-the-art green building practices, with the tribe seeking to “provide lasting benefits for the environment and guest comfort,” stated a press release from the tribe. Arla Ramsey, vice chair of the tribe, said this is another example of the tribe's commitment to the local area.
