A federal appeals court on Tuesday denied the Osage Nation’s motion to rehear a case over whether Osage County is an Indian reservation. A panel of the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver ruled in March that the Osage Nation’s reservation ceased to exist 100 years ago under the Osage Allotment Act, and the tribe had asked the full court to rehear the case.
