The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, 400-members strong in Palm Springs, California, opened their Agua Caliente Casino Resort & Spa in April of 2008 in Rancho Mirage, California. It includes 340 luxury rooms, the 10,500 square foot Sunstone Spa, a pool with a selection of cabanas, a casino that doesn't sleep, a meeting and conference center, and, finally, a 2,000-seat concert theater called "The Show" that will host the likes of Neil Diamond (March 26th), the Brian Setzer Orchestra (April 2nd), Michael Bolton (April 23rd) and LeAnn Rimes (April 29th).

The resort was recently awarded the Four-Diamond rating by the Automobile Club of Southern California (AAA), which rates more than 60,000 hotels each year. The mixture of luxury (couples massage at your pool-side cabana, anyone?), dining (The Steakhouse was noted by Wine Spectator for their "Award for Excellence" for their quality wine and menu pairings) to nightlife (24-hour casino, concerts at 'The Show,' comedy acts at the Lounge) along with the resort's location in the heart of the Palm Springs Valley, at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains, creates a special environment.

The casino has slots, table games, a poker room, and the Primrose Room for "serious players who want to concentrate and enjoy their privacy." The high stakes table games include Midi-Baccarat or five blackjack games. After a late night at the casino, batteries can be recharged in pool side cabana that allows visitors to check their email, watch television, keep cool with misters and ceiling fans, and keep hydrated with a fully stocked mini fridge. There are also two "executive cabanas" that have their own private hot tubs. The entire pool area is 50,000 square-feet of water, wet bar, hot tubs and a full service outdoor bar and grill.

The conference and event facilities include the large indoor Cahuilla Ballroom and an outdoor venue with views of the San Jacinto Mountains, hosting events from business retreats and award ceremonies to Bar Mitzvahs and weddings.

The "Caliente Escape" package currently offered starts at $109 for a deluxe guest room, a 2-for-1 buffet, and $25 in free slot play. For more information, you can call 866-923-7244 or visit
