Trying to quit smoking? Take the American Cancer Society survey. Your answers will help ACS learn more about which quitting methods are most appealing and how it can provide better support for smokers who want to improve their health by kicking the habit.
Let your voice be heard.
The American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout is coming up Nov. 19, a day to encourage smokers everywhere to give up the habit. ACS has resources on its Web site to help you quit:
- A Craving Stopper that’s an electronic game you can download. Takes two minutes to play – the time it takes for the average craving to subside. Fun, cool, and gets you through while you’re quitting.
- A Cigarette Calculator – which allows smokers to see how much money they’d save if they quit smoking. If the boss won’t give you a raise, give yourself one – by quitting smoking, and using the money you save for something great – like a vacation, or a down payment on a car. It’s like finding free money, and if that’s not a great reason to encourage someone to quit, what is?
Many more tools and tips on the site as well.
Bottom line: Quitting smoking is one of the most important steps in creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays. You can do it. We can help. Contact the American Cancer Society today.
