$4.3 million awarded to tribes for projects

Seven of Montana's Native American tribes will receive more than $4.3 million in stimulus funds for economic development projects. The awards were announced during a meeting of the interim State-Tribal Relations Committee on Wednesday on the Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation. Each tribe will receive $617,937, according to Jennifer Perez-Cole, director of Indian affairs for Gov. Brian Schweitzer.
